Is, Was and Will Be – The Unknown Character of Christ and His Word

Who Are You?

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Hi V____,

Thank you for your question. The answer is that I am a student of the Word of God. I have a theology degree, but like the apostle Paul “I count it all dung”, relying on a more Biblical accounting of who I am:

1Co 1:26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
1Co 1:27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
1Co 1:28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
1Co 1:29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.

If indeed those are the qualities of those who God has chosen, then I am indeed in very good standing with our Lord.

I hope I have answered your question.

Your brother in Christ,

Mike

Hi V____,

I am glad to hear that you were edified by reading the study on the color green. I hope you will continue to be edified by what you read.

I went to your site and read this:

Truer words were never spoken if we understand the meaning of being ‘given the life of Christ’.

Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of ourselves: it is the gift of God:
Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

If those words of scripture are so wrested to the point of denying that we must “die daily’ and be “crucified with Christ”, which are also words inspirited by the holy spirit to be written by the same apostle Paul who wrote Eph 2:9-10, then we will never be granted to understand these words of scripture:

Col 1:24 I am now rejoicing in my sufferings for you, and am filling up in my flesh, in His stead, the deficiencies of the afflictions of Christ, for His body, which is the ecclesia (CLV)

It is my prayer that you also find these verses I have quoted to be edifying and that the very next verse in Eph 2:8 is also found to be edifying to you:

Eph 2:10 For His achievement are we, being created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God makes ready beforehand, that we should be walking in them. (CLV)

It is a long paper but I suggest that you read The Law of Moses Versus The Law of The Spirit which you can find in the Essential Reading section of iswasandwillbe.com.

That paper was prompted by my ten years of studying with the Concordant Publishing Concern with whom I parted ways after I finally became aware that Christ in us produces “good works that we should walk in them” (Eph 2:10).

I look forward to hearing from you again.

Your brother who with the apostle Paul is filling up in my body that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ, dying daily with Him (1Co 15:31), and who is being daily “crucified with Him” (Gal 2:20).

Mike
