Are There Two Separate Bodies of Christ?
Hi Mike,
I have been reading something you posted on rightly dividing the word. I was made to understand it to be a spiritual dividing as you have brought forth, but have a new friend that says it is dividing of that which belongs to the Jews and that which belongs to the gentiles. He says that the Jews will get their land as promised and calls this a terrestrial body and that the gentiles will get the celestial body. I am wondering what your thoughts on this, as it has not been revealed to me.
Thank you,
T____
Hi T____,
Thank you for your question concerning rightly dividing the word as it concerns the making of two into one, as the scriptures teach and as your friend does not yet understand.
While the doctrines of the entire New Testament are against that false doctrine, there are two key scriptures which immediately destroy the doctrine of making of two out of two. Here are those two scriptures:
Rom 2:28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
Rom 2:29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
Put Rom 2 together with Eph 2:
Eph 2:11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;
Eph 2:12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: Eph 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
Eph 2:14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
Eph 2:15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
Eph 2:16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
Eph 2:17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.
Eph 2:18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
Eph 2:19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
Eph 2:20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
Eph 2:21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
I cannot make it any clearer. I am grateful that the Lord has led you to write to me about this subject.
There are many articles on this subject on iswasandwillbe.com simply because I used to be a fervent disciple of this doctrine before I came to see it for the “idol of the heart” which it is. If you want to learn much more on this subject, just type the words ‘two administrations’ or the name ‘A. E. Knoch’, into the search box on the home page, and you will find many letters dealing with this patently false doctrine.
I hope you find this of help to you.
Your brother in Christ,
Mike
