God Cannot be Tempted
Mr. Vinson,
Questions: Rom 10:14… how shall they hear without a preacher? And verse 15… except they be sent… My question is, are there “any” preachers, ministers, called themselves, called “this day” as part of the few? Or are they part of the “many called” to fulfill God’s plan? At this point 2Th 2:11 is ingrained in the back of my mind. I read your paper on the 144,000, I’m not sure just who is the 144,000 thousand. I “WILL” read it again. Usually, after the second read, it’ll become clearer. If you can find a simpler way to explain the 144,000 for me, I’ll appreciate it. What I got from the paper is that we are the 144,000.I want YOU to know that you are truly a GODSEND. I have opened up the truth of the scriptures to several of my friends WHO GOT IT. A couple are left baffled, because I challenged a belief system (they were taught it) they held to be the God’s honest truth. They’re reading the Bible like a school book. But I showed them the scripture that God’s Words are a mystery. One can’t just guess at the Father’s workings like we’re guessing at math. I’ve always known the “preacher MAN” taught out of ignorance and selfish gain. Yes, Php 2:13 and Eph 1:11 are ingrained in the back of my mind, too. Even they are part of the plan.
Once I was shown God’s evil, a whole lot of questions were answered and things begin to make since to me. In all my life, “no” preacher MAN has ever shown me any scripture on His evil. Now when I study, my insides tremble. I’m serious. Sometimes the trembling is so great it scares me. I have to pray and ask God to settle what’s brewing inside me down. And you know what? He does. I’m reading and studying. I’m reading GOD’S TRUTH. I feel soooo LOVED BY GOD. And that’s not hearsay… that’s the GOD’s HONEST TRUTH!!
Hi F______,
It is good to hear from you again.
To answer your question, I would never presume to tell any one who is called to preach and who isn’t. As far as I am concerned, any who are preaching Christ are called to preach Christ. Here is my scripture for that statement:
Php 1:14 And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.
Php 1:15 Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will:
Php 1:16 The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds:
Php 1:17 But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defense of the gospel.
Php 1:18 What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretense, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.
Preaching Christ does not equate to being the elect of God. As you seem to realize, the elect are called out of the called. The ‘many called’ are where the ‘few chosen’ are called out. Babylon is the ‘many called.’ Babylon is the seven churches of the 2nd and 3rd chapters of Revelation. The church of Laodicea pretty well describes the ‘woman ‘ of Rev 17 and 18.
Rev 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
Yes, in Christ, we are the 144,000. We are also the ‘two witnesses;’ we are also the ‘bride adorned for her husband;’ we are ‘the new Jerusalem;’ ‘lively stones’; the adoption’; the ‘son of the freewoman’; the ‘seed of Abraham’ and I could go on and on. But here is a scripture that sums it all up. If you can get your spiritual vision around the depth of this verse, you will do well:
1Jn 4:17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
I am inspired that you receive so much from the web page, and I appreciate hearing from you, so please don’t be offended when I point out that your phrase ‘God’s evil,’ is not a scriptural phrase, even though it is certainly a fact that:
Rom 11:36 … Of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.
Yet James is telling the Truth when he says:
Jas 1:13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
Jas 1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
As you already know if you have read After The Counsel of His Own Will, God always sends evil spirits to accomplish the evil that we fight every day of our lives, be it personal, national, or otherwise. For example:
1Sa 16:14 But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.
1Sa 16:15 And Saul’s servants said unto him, Behold now, an evil spirit from God troubleth thee.
1Sa 16:16 Let our lord now command thy servants, [ which are] before thee, to seek out a man, [ who is] a cunning player on an harp: and it shall come to pass, when the evil spirit from God is upon thee, that he shall play with his hand, and thou shalt be well.
… Which agrees with Paul’s statement:
Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
This is simply a matter of “having a pattern of sound words.”
You keep opening up God’s word to as many as God sends to you!
Your brother,
Mike
