Is, Was and Will Be – The Unknown Character of Christ and His Word

Is There A Latter Day Prophet?

Hi W____,
Thank you for your questions.
There are supposedly 30,000 Christian denominations. Within these 30,000 denominations are 200,000,000 false doctrines which blot out the light of God’s Word.

Rev 9:2  And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.
Rev 9:3  And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.

Rev 9:7  And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces [ were] as the faces of men.
Rev 9:16  And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.

There is much speculation about what these symbols mean. All of that speculation is part of the 200 million false doctrines that blot out the light of God’s Word. But speculation serves no good purpose. ‘Locusts’ are only what scriptures say they are:

Exo 10:4  Else, if thou refuse to let my people go, behold, to morrow will I bring the locusts into thy coast:
Exo 10:5  And they shall cover the face of the earth, that one cannot be able to see the earth: and they shall eat the residue of that which is escaped, which remaineth unto you from the hail, and shall eat every tree which groweth for you out of the field:

Locusts cannot stand the light of the Truth. But in sufficient numbers they can blot out the words of Truth. Especially when those numbers are like Korah and the 250 elders who had the whole camp of Israel ready to appoint them a captain to return them to Egypt:

Nah 3:17 Thy crowned are as the locusts, and thy captains as the great grasshoppers, which camp in the hedges in the cold day, but when the sun ariseth they flee away , and their place is not known where they are.
Num 14:4  And they said one to another, Let us make a captain, and let us return into Egypt.

The spiritual significance of ‘locusts’ is that they devour that which would sustain us and they keep us from being able to see. What feeds us spiritually? It is the Truths of God’s Word. And what is a lamp to our path? It is “thy word.”

Psa 119:105  NUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Joh 6:32  Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven.

These locusts in the book of Revelation have mouths like serpents, in their tails and these mouths hurt men:

Rev 9:19  For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt.

Well, the lies out of the mouth of the serpent in the garden of Eden certainly hurt Adam and Eve and all mankind since. What are these ‘powerful tails?’

Isa 9:15  The ancient and honourable, he [ is] the head; and the prophet that teacheth lies, he is the tail.

Every symbol in the book of Revelation is defined within God’s Word. It is not for men to say what these symbols mean. They must all be witnessed to by God’s Word, both the Old and the New Testaments.

Mat 13:52  Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.

This is the only way to understand God’s Word. It is all spiritual:

Joh 6:63  It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

That is why no one in the orthodox Christian world even sees that the book of Revelation is a book that must be “kept” and lived out in the life of the believer:

Rev 1:3  Blessed [ is] he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

That is how this book begins, and that is how it ends:

Rev 22:7  Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

What this all boils down to is this Truth:

Mat 22:14  For many are called, but few are chosen.

The word ‘priest’ is an especially spiritual word. All who have “ears to hear what the spirit says to… churches” are promised to be made kings and priests:

Rev 2:7  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.
Rev 1:6  And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

There are no physical priests on this earth, because in spite of the doctrines of some churches, there is no physical temple:

1Co 3:16  Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
1Co 3:17  If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

The Bible talks about “two witnesses.”

Rev 11:3  And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
Rev 11:4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.
