Is, Was and Will Be – The Unknown Character of Christ and His Word

Praying For Those Who Are Not Of The Same Mind

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Hi, N____,
Thank you for your question.

It is not wrong to pray for people who are of another mind. If it were, Christ could not have prayed for anyone. God actually heals people who are of another mind, and this often serves to harden their deception from the Truths of His Word. It is not called “strong delusion” for no reason. God actually gives the beast the power to perform miracles that cause people to be misled and deceived.

Eze 14:9  And if the prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the LORD have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.
Eze 14:10  And they shall bear the punishment of their iniquity: the punishment of the prophet shall be even as the punishment of him that seeketh [ unto him];
Rev 13:12  And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
Rev 13:13  And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
Rev 13:14  And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

So pray for all who request it, but always pray “according to His will.”

Mat 6:10  Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
1Jn 5:14  And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

That is what is being done anyway, so we need to be thankful in all things.

Eph 1:11  In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

There are things we are not to pray for. Read this URL and get back to me on that subject if you still have a question.
