Take No Anxious Thought for Tomorrow
Hi Mike,
I have been doing a side study on numbers in scripture and next will be on the law offerings, also reading responses to questions:) Hanging on to Gods words through out the day is work (in a good way) and my light through all this strife.
We’ve been going through the shorter hours of work now. My husband’s employer has shortened hours and there is nowhere else to go. So we’ll see what happens next. God willing, whatever he has planned for us we get through it keeping His Word as a beacon and as His Spirit continues to grow in us. The fear becomes overwhelming sometimes, and I know that’s such a fleshly struggle! I get irritated with myself for slipping into the fear of what’s next.Well, off to the day and hoping all is good
Your sister in Christ,

Hi C____,
Even Christ dreaded what He knew was just ahead, so don’t get discouraged that you too, are at times anxious about the future. Remember, every admonition we are given is there because God knows that is exactly what we will do. “Don’t eat of the tree…” is there because we do eat of the tree, and “take no anxious thought,” is there because we do get anxious and forget that God is a loving Father.
Mat 6:25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
Mat 6:34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day [ is] the evil thereof.
It is virtually impossible for our natural man to receive those words, but Christ is in you, and He takes great comfort in those words because He know they are the Truth. Just keep reminding yourself that every day of your life was “written in His book, before there were any of them,” and remember that in the end “you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.”
Psa 139:16 Thine eyes did see mine unformed substance; And in thy book they were all written, Even the days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was none of them. (ASV)
Php 4:13 I can do all things in him that strengtheneth me. (ASV)
So it was all decided in advance and all the worrying in the world will change nothing. Here is what is true, and anything else is a lie:
Rom 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Rom 8:36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
Rom 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
Rom 8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Rom 8:39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
You will make it through the trials that lay ahead of us all. “God will supply all of your needs according to His riches in glory.”
Php 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Our emphasis is of course on the spirit, but these words are also true physically. God provides for His own, as any loving Father provides for His family.
You are part of a body. It is not rich in this world’s goods, but it ministers to every part of the body according to its needs, so if ever there is a need, just be sure to let us know, and Lord willing we will all do our part as a properly functioning body.
You just continue to “hang on to God’s Words throughout every day.” Those words will never let you down.
Your brother in Christ,
Mike
