OK, Mike. I was reading:

The next mention of this covenant with Abram is in chapter 13:14 – “And the Lord said unto Abram’Lift up now your eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward and southward and eastward and westward: (vs. 15) for all the land which you seest, to you will I give it, and to your seed forever. (vs. 16) And I will make your seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then can your seed also be numbered. (vs. 17) Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee.”

Now if Christians, that is, believers in Christ are the true Sons of Abraham as Paul said those circumcised without hands and if many are called but only a few are chosen, how is it that Abraham’s seed is as the dust of the earth? This seemed to be a contradiction, but then I thought that if everybody who has ever lived is eventually saved and becomes the seed of Abraham, then his seed is truly as the dust of the earth. Am I on the right track here?

It is good to hear from you. Yes, you are right on track. When the ages are consumed, all in Adam will be “in Christ,” and all who are ‘in Christ’ are ‘Abraham’s seed.’ Here are the scriptures:

Rom 4:13 For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.

Now you will not find the phrase “heir of the world” anywhere in the Old Testament, but God’s spirit revealed this Truth to Paul through the scriptures about ‘the dust of the earth’ which you reference above.

Gal 3:16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
Gal 3:29 And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
