When Does His Spirit Enter Into Us?
Hi H____,
Thank you for your summary of the revelation of Jesus Christ. I recognize that you have framed this in the form of a question so I add my comments and critique your questions paragraph by paragraph:
Hi Mike:
Maybe you can shed some light on this. So when a person is called and comes to the Lord (of course the Father is drawing him) and accepts Jesus as his personal Savior, he is beginning a journey by being in the family of God. So he is not really saved but in the process. Which means he will go through Babylon. Going to church and being introduced to the doctrines of the church. He is introduced to God and begins the journey of having the Spirit of God in him.
I know that you are already aware of the fact that God will not lose even one of His children. All of mankind is predestined to come to their Creator:
1Jn 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
1Ti 4:10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.
1Co 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
1Co 15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.
1Co 15:24 Then [ cometh] the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
Now with this Truth firmly in mind I want you to read this verse very carefully:
Mat 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
This is where it gets messy. Does he have the spirit of God in him when he comes to make a decision to live for God and repents and sees himself as a sinner? If so then the Holy Spirit is said to lead all to truth, but it seems that He isn’t led to truth because the new convert is in Babylon learning false doctrines like I did. But as the scripture says, God has called and iscalling His people out of Babylon.
I am assuming that you are referring to this verse of God’s word when you say that “the holy spirit is said to lead all to truth:”
Joh 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
That verse is, of course true, but there are a few principles and characteristics of God’s Word which you must learn to apply to “every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.” The one that is especially needed at this juncture is this principle:
Psa 119:160 The sum of Your word is truth, And every one of Your righteous ordinances is everlasting.
So now we must ask, what else does God’s spirit do besides “guide us into all Truth?” Or to phrase this in a more accurate way we ought to ask, by what means does God’s spirit guide us into all Truth. The answer is that once we are able to see that “man.. must live by every word of God,” we are then able to see that in Truth God’s spirit is “working all things after the counsel of His own will,” long before it comes into our lives to “guide us into all Truth.”
Eph 1:9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
Eph 1:10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; [ even] in him:
Eph 1:11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
This raises several questions. Those in Babylon are blind. So they are Christians but are blind and believe their body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and God is in them. But they don’t see spiritually and they reject the truths of the Gospel. They believe in an eternal hell, the trinity, tithing, free will, that Satan is a fallen angel, etc., like I once did. So was I converted when in Babylon? Was God in me? Is God in those that are in darkness? You have stated that the disciples weren’t converted until Pentecost and after Jesus was resurrected. So before that they performed works of God and cast out demons, etc. One cannot do these things unless God does it through them. But the Holy Spirit wasn’t given to them as yet so how were they able to do mighty works? As Jesus was with them teaching them yet they didn’t get it nor understand. And He was God in human flesh. He is the Master teacher.
The answer to all these questions is in the verses quoted above. God is in the process of bringing “all things in heaven and in earth together in the Christ.” That’s right – it is “the Christ.”
Eph 1:10 For an administration of the fulness of the seasons, to reunite for himself (under one head) the all things in the Christ, the things upon the heavens, and the things upon the earth, in him:
Who is this “the Christ?” It is Christ and those who are “in Him:”
Eph 1:18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
Eph 1:19 And what [ is] the exceeding greatness of his power to us- ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
Eph 1:20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set [ him] at his own right hand in the heavenly [ places],
Eph 1:21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
Eph 1:22 And hath put all [ things] under his feet, and gave him [ to be] the head over all [ things] to the church ,
Eph 1:23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
Plus I thought I was walking in the light for many years but I was in darkness. And now because I see the present church for what it is and all the false doctrines – God has brought me into the light. He has given me eyes to see. So what is the difference between me now and me before? Was God in me all the time?
God is working out a plan which He had in mind before the first Adam was ever created. If indeed you are God’s elect, then that has been the case since “before the world was.” If indeed you are God’s elect then “the eyes of your understanding [ are] being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints ,” In case you didn’t catch that, Christ’s inheritance is “in His saints.” Christ’s inheritance is in His elect who fill Him just as he fills His Father, the All in all.
1Co 2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
2Ti 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called [ us] with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
Tit 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;
“Was He in you all the time?” No, He was not “in you” all the time, but you were “in Him” all the time. Here is a statement which Paul made to Pagan Athenians who weren’t even converted as yet:
Act 17:28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
Christ knows those who are His at this time, and He has known them before they knew that they were His:
1Co 8:6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
“All things are of God… by Christ,” good or evil, whether by the spirit of God within us or by “an evil spirit from the Lord… troubling us.”
1Sa 16:14 But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.
1Sa 16:15 And Saul’s servants said unto him, Behold now, an evil spirit from God troubleth thee.
I had lunch with a friend and his wife a few days ago. He is an assistant pastor at the church I have gone to. I was moved by God to open up to him and her. I told them it has come to a point that I won’t be attending church anymore. I gave my reasons. And I also shared with them that I don’t believe like they do. I reject the teachings from the pulpit because they don’t match up with what God is showing me in His Word. I did mention tithing as one of many. They just listened and he didn’t refute or debate me on anything. I gave my reasons. I also told them that the false teachings are but one reason but the other reasons are the hypocrisy in the leadership. Lies coming from the pulpit and hatred and envy among the brethren, etc. I did tell them of this before, and he did nothing. I met with the pastor and his wife and they acknowledged and agreed with me and did nothing. It seems some of the people in the church that are causing dissension and trouble are the ones that tithe and make a good living. So why rock the boat?
Anyway, they both were so understanding and kind and I also said some things to him about himself. That he was fleshly and a pleaser of men because he was a diplomat. I told him that he is a very nice person. I like him. I enjoy his company. But the last time I looked in the Bible, niceness is not a fruit of the Spirit. Niceness is saying the things to tickle the ears. Jesus didn’t say things to please men and tickle their ears. What HE said got Him killed. What HE said made men very upset. My friend doesn’t take a stand for God and what is right.
Welcome to the “scattered sheep,” body of Christ. These words are just as true or perhaps even truer than they have ever been, simply because “evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.”
Mat 26:31 Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.
2Ti 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
2Ti 3:13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
This does not say ‘Until Luther’s Reformation.’ Nor does it say that the deceit will be abated. We are warned that it will get “worse and worse.” What that means is that people will appear to be better and better while in reality it is their good works and the gifts they do not come behind in that are used of God to keep these masses of orthodox Christians “yet carnal… babes in Christ:” <//
1Co 1:1 Paul, called [ to be] an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes [ our] brother,
1Co 1:2 Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:
Yes, nothing has changed; unconverted Christians are still “coming behind in no gift.” That is what makes it “strong delusion.”
1Co 1:6 Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:
1Co 1:7 So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Rev 13:13 And he doeth great wonders , so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
Rev 13:14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
We do not know a tree by its great wonders and miracles. We know a tree by its fruit.
He responded that he was praying and that God would move and straighten it all out. I said it is a good thing that this is happening and in God’s plan. He is showing us the flesh. He is showing us what needs to be dealt with. And I have done what I can by God’s leading, and you can’t just sit there and wait for God. What is going on there is similar to the church at Corinth. The Father sent Jesus, and Jesus said therefore I send you.
He smiled and was nice but didn’t argue or disagree. I think what I said hit home. Yet they go back and do nothing. Even the truth doesn’t affect him to make a change.
I know this is a long email. But I just needed to get that off my chest to you. Many are called and few are chosen, and I see the truth of that more and more.
I am out of the church and don’t plan on going back. My wife may continue to go because she is not involved except for teaching Sunday School for the kids. And that takes place during the church service.
And thank God that there are a few that won’t be back either. I have shared with them the truths of God and they now see Babylon for what it is. And we plan on having a small gathering in our home or theirs. So God has used me and have brought out a few from captivity. And they are doing fine. So good has been done by me being there. And God is the one that gets all the credit. But now that my voice is silenced because they won’t ask me to teach anymore because they heard I was against tithing. I am not going to sit there like a bump on a log listening to false teachings with no opportunity to respond.
Blessings,

I hope that you can see that this is all the working of God in your life and in the lives of those whom God may have placed in your charge. I also hope that you can now see that God’s spirit was not in Saul of Tarsus or you or I, while we are in the process of murdering His elect, but we are still His elect, even though none of the outward signs are yet evident. We are “in Him” long before He is in us.
He is in us when we come to the point that we realize that sin no longer has dominion in our lives. The dominion of sin in our lives is the supernatural work of God’s spirit dethroning the beast which, to that point has been on the throne of God in the temple of God declaring himself to be God.
Rom 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
I would encourage you to have a regular Bible study for those who are willing to be there. Remember “where two or three are gathered together in My name there am I in the midst” is just as true today as it ever was:
Mat 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
Keep the faith. Believe me when I tell you that these trials are but preparation for greater trials which, without these trials you could never endure. God has placed it in your heart to be faithful to His Word. Treat that desire like “the spoils of war” because that is what it is. It will cost you a lot of your friends but it will give you a peace of mind like you have never before known.
Psa 119:162 I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil.
Psa 119:163 I hate and abhor lying: but thy law do I love.
Psa 119:164 Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments.
Psa 119:165 Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.
Stay in touch.
You are in my prayers.
Mike
