Greetings!

Please does anyone have some insight on Eph 6:15? “And having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace.”

I welcome any input.

Thanks in advance,

Hi M____,

Our ‘feet’ symbolize our walk, our way of life, and our message to those around us. Being shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace, is living a life which puts the kingdom of God and His righteousness first. If we are not yet given do “do the things [Christ] says” and live by His sayings, then we certainly are not shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. If we do keep Christ’s words, then we are shod with the gospel of peace:

Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Mat 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them [has his feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace], I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
Mat 7:25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
Mat 7:26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
Mat 7:27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

If our words match our walk then we must have our feet properly shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace and Christ will liken us to being built upon a rock, upon Christ Himself.

If our house is built upon shifting, unstable sand, then we are not shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace, and this is what we will hear as the Lord deals with us to cleanse us and to bring us to Himself:

Luk 6:46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

Our feet symbolize our walk with Christ, and the preparation of the gospel of peace, is the words of Christ which are intended to guide our steps:

Psa 119:105 NUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

I hope this helps.

Your brother in Christ,

Mike
