Is There Ever a Rapture?
Hi,
My wife and I are having a discussion about the rapture and pre-trib.
I believe that we will go through the tribulation period that is mentioned in the bible.
My wife believes that believers in Christ will be pre-raptured before the tribulation period and that people will go through this period and then Christ will come again after the trib period.
While we both understand rapture is not mentioned in the bible. We both agree “caught up” is.
Thank You

Hi D____,
Thank you both for your question concerning whether there is any truth to the doctrine of a rapture.
The short answer to your question is that there is no such thing as a rapture out of any of the trials and tribulations mentioned in either Matthew 24 or the book of Revelation. We know this to be true because we are told that “all things come alike to all” and “man shall… live… by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God”, and that we must all “keep the things which are written therein”.
Every word I have placed in quotes above is a scripture which is included in the links listed below. I hope you will both take the time to read those links and to see what the scriptures actually teach, as opposed to what we are told they teach.
Read these links, and if you still have questions, then please feel free to get back to me.
Here are the links which I believe will answer all of your questions about the so-called ‘rapture’:
Your brother in Christ,
Mike
