Hi Mike,
I read your article “After the Counsel of His Own Will”, and I found one mistake scripture. I could have ignored it, but you work very hard writing many articles, and I feel that I owed uit to you to let you know if I find a mistake. I am happy to be able to give it to you.
See below that I paste from your site, and you will see my bold where the mistake is from. The subject is “Did Peter agree with Christ?”This, Paul knows, sounds so unfair, unjust and unrighteous to us. “What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God…?” (Rom 9:14). He then goes directly into the total sovereignty of God: “I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy… It is not of him that willeth, but of God who showeth mercy” (Rom 9: 15-16). To reinforce the truth of which Paul was well aware: “I [ God] create evil (Isa 45:7), he adds this to the fact that God hated Esau before he was even born: “… the scripture saith unto Pharoah, even for this same purpose have I raised you up, that I might show my power in thee, And that my name might be declared throughout all the earth. Therefore HE hath mercy (Drags) on whom HE will have mercy and whom HE will HE hardeneth [ blinds] “(Rom 11:17). But doesn’t the scripture teach that blindness comes from “the God of this world”?
It is Rom. 9:17-18
Don’t be embarrassed; even I too make scripture mistakes sometimes. We all have the human mistake everyday! Smile. I am happy to help. If I see any mistake, I will send it to you, if you don’t mind.
Your article about the “After the Counsel of His Own Will” is the most powerful I have ever seen in my own eyes! My shelves of books like commentaries, theological doctrines, etc. are weak and superficial. Your article is the best I have ever seen. It really gives me wide open eyes, and I thank God to be willing to open my spiritual sight and understanding better! Thank you!
God bless you,
