Scripture As Dispensational
Dear Mike, I was reading a dispensational article about the resurrected body , and I didn’t have to think, this scripture came to mind instantly – Mat 22:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. This scripture has become one of my favorites in the past year or so. As for myself Mike, I said I belong to the foot Church because I can’t get lower than that in the body (the Church ). My prayer for myself is “Father have mercy on me a sinner I’m as a filthy rag and not worthy to be a son not my will but your will”.
Rom 12
3 For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.
4 For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function,
5 so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.
6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith;
7 or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching;
8 he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness,Rom 15
4 For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope. 5 Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like- minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus, 6 that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
7 Therefore receive one another, just as Christ also received us, to the glory of God.Eph 4
1 I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, 2 with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love,
3 endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling;
5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
7 But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift.Gal 6
3 For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself.
Joh 3 30
30 He must increase, but I must decrease.
Peace in Christ,

Hi S____,
Thanks for sharing all the scriptures.
I agree that knowing the scriptures is knowing Christ. And what God has shown me this past year is that Christ and His word, like the kingdom of God, are all “within you.”
Luk 17:20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
Luk 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
Now we have been told that the purpose of all of Christ’s parables is to hide from the multitudes the secrets of the kingdom of heaven.
Mat 13:10 And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?
Mat 13:11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
Since the entire book of Revelation is “signified,” and since we are twice told that we are to keep the sayings of the prophecy of this book, within, we know therefore that that kingdom within is Christ within.
Col 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
That is why we all “do err, not knowing the scriptures or the power of God.” If we do not know the scripture, we do not know Christ who is “the word.” “Christ in us” is “the power of God.”
The only thing dispensational about God’s Word is the “was” and the “will be.” But Christ is primarily “Is” and is “I Am.” Of course Christ was, and of course He will be. But that is not where we live in Christ. Every generation finds that He IS and that He IS a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him.
We must know Christ as all three, but ‘Is’ must be preeminent always, simply because that is how He reveals Himself in scripture:
Rev 1:4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace [ be] unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;
Rev 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
Rev 1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
The physical city of Jerusalem as being the place “wherein our Lord was crucified” is a spiritual statement which we must all live:
Mat 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Rev 1:3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: f or the time [ is] at hand.
Rev 22:7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.
Psa 139:16 Thine eyes did see mine unformed substance; And in thy book they were all written, Even the days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was none of them.
“All our days are written in thy book” simply because we must all “live… every word.”
Mike
