Should Women Ask The Blessing?

I’m just curious… I noticed that before and after your Bible studies, only men are permitted to ask God’s blessing upon the studies. I never thought that asking blessings was the same as teaching, so I am confused about this.

Thank you for your question. I am glad you are listening to the studies, and I pray you will find them edifying.
You ask if women should ask for God’s blessings on our Bible studies.
I have written a paper which deals in depth with the role of women in the body of Christ. It is entitled The Head of Christ Is God, and it can be found in the Essential Reading section at the upper left corner of the home page. In light of what all the scriptures teach concerning the proper role of women in the body of Christ, as teachers of children and women, and as mothers to their children and wives to their husbands, and with all the emphasis that is placed upon the man being the head of the house and the leaders in the church, would it not be confusing to ask a woman to open with prayer when there are men there to do so?
The holy spirit says this:
1Co 14:34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.
1Co 14:35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.
1Co 14:36 What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only?
1Co 14:37 If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.
1Co 14:38 But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant.
I have shown in other writings that the word ‘silence’ should be translated ‘quiet’. Nevertheless, in light of these words, which “are the commandments of the Lord”, would it not be commendable to have men opening with prayer when you have men in the room? I am well aware of how totally Neanderthal the scriptures on this subject seem in today’s society and in today’s churches. Nevertheless, I think you would have to agree that having a man to open a Bible study with prayer is much more in line with what the scriptures consistently teach and command concerning men being the leaders and women keeping quiet in the church.
