Is, Was and Will Be – The Unknown Character of Christ and His Word

Sodom And Samaria To You For Sisters

Your question relates your lack of spiritual maturity. Show me just one verse of Old Testament scripture that outright states that a man named Jesus Christ will be “called out of Egypt.” Show me one verse of Old Testament scripture that outright states that a man named Jesus Christ of Nazareth will die on a cross for the sins of the whole world. Show me JUST ONE verse of scripture that states outright that a virgin shall conceive and bring forth a son… named Jesus Christ. Little in God’s word is an “outright statement.” The entirety of God’s Word is a parable and a type and a shadow. If this were not so, then Paul would be proved wrong when he said, “The natural man receives not the things of the spirit for they are foolishness unto him.”

1Co 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth [ outright statements], but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. [ Does this sound like Paul is talking about “outright statements?”]
1Co 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. [ Are “outright statements,” spiritually discerned?]

What do these two verses of scripture mean to you? Does “comparing spiritual things with spiritual” mean an “outright statement?” Does “spiritually discerned” mean an “outright statement?” Is that the definition of ‘spiritually discerned?’

I am not letting you off the hook by allowing you to simply ask another question. You must answer my question about Eze 16:61 before I will answer any more of your questions. Here is what you say:

Your statement…

… ignores my question about “I will give them [ Sodom and Samaria] unto thee [ Jerusalem] for sisters?” No one denies that Israel “did abominations just like the countries [ Gentiles] that dwelleth around her” Can you even see those words “I will give them [ Sodom and Samaria] to thee for daughters?” How can God give restored Israel something you say has been destroyed?

Answer this question and then I will answer yours.
