Song Of Solomon
Hi Mike,
I have a few questions. What did Christ mean when He said He will destroy the temple and build it after three days? Another one, what is the spiritual significance of the scriptures of Song of Solomon? Thanks. You remain in my prayers.

Hi N____,
The number three always speaks to the process of judging. Even Christ, told us that His flesh would be judged and found unworthy of inheriting the kingdom of God. So He tells us that He will not be perfected until “the third day”.
Luk 13:32 And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.
What Christ was referring to was His resurrection from among the dead. That is what He meant by “destroy this temple…” He was speaking of His body of this flesh being destroyed and resurrected as a spiritual body.
1Co 15:44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
Christ’s appearance with the holes of His wounds was entirely for the sake of the lack of faith of His disciples. He “was raised a spiritual body.”
As for the spiritual meaning of the Song of Solomon, that book’s spiritual meaning is to show us our relationship as Christ’s virgin bride. We are loved by our Lord just as we are to love our wives.
Eph 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
Eph 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
Eph 5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
Eph 5:28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
Eph 5:29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
Eph 5:30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
Eph 5:31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
Eph 5:32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
I hope these answers edify you in some way.
Your brother in Christ,
Mike
