Hello Mike,
I have a question about the "keeping of days". I have read the emails and responses about this subject on your site, and I agree with everything that has been said. I see the need to end participation in these "traditions of men" as I have done in the past (and I want to stop, too). It... [read more]

Hello Mike,
I read the email you received concerning "days, months, times and years", and I wanted to share my thoughts on the subject. If I am wrong in my perspective, I would appreciate any correction. We are to try the spirits [1Jn 4:1], and when we do that we are proving them [1Th 5:21].

Mike,
I have a question for you. Many say that there is great significance in 2 Peter 3:8 when considering that from Adam to Christ was 4000 years and that from Christ to now is a little over 3000 years, or the third day. This seems plausible in that three is the number of the process of spiritual ... [read more]

Hi Mike,
When this is said in The Law of Moses versus the Law of the Spirit...
"Eat meat with those who eat meat, herbs with those who eat herbs. Become "all things to all men that you might by all means save some" (1Co 9:22)."
"... Take heed lest this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock... [read more]

Does Gal 4:10 Contrdict Rom 14 and Col 2?
Mike,
In your answer you replied "the last thing in this world that I want to do is to offend you." I am more than grateful for your time you give me and what you have helped me see. I've been reading the Bible for 10 months... [read more]

Dear Mike,
I'm not sure, but is it okay to give presents at birthdays and christmas. I think not, but would feel REALLY out of place, probably lose my wife of 37 yrs, if I didn't. I think the kids would understand it's a burden at Christmas. I don't do the shopping, I only get my wife something.

Mike,
I read the article named How Strong Brothers Bear the Infirmities of the Weaker Brothers. In reading this I have a question or two.
I am personally against pagan Holidays. My wife is not. She is a protestant who goes to a "Four Square" church. How am I supposed to handle Days, Months and s... [read more]

Hi Mike,
I am concerned about a brother who, knowing I no longer keep pagan holidays such as Christmas, is trying to convince me that his keeping them is okay. He feels it is possible that we have carried with us idols from our previous church days. As far as the Jewis... [read more]

The Lord's Supper and The Passover
March 18, 2002
According to Christ, His last supper (what Paul calls "the Lord's supper" - 1Co 11:20) was "the Passover" (Mat 26:18) and "as oft as (he) kept it" was once a year.
The sum of your word is truth (Psa 119:160 ESV); How precious are your thoughts t... [read more]
