Hi, Mike,
This is simply a straight forward question. Have you had a conversion just like the apostles did on the day of Pentecost, and I don't mean cloven tongues of fire or a sound like a rushing mighty wind or speaking in other tongues, etc? Thanks. Yours in Christ,

Mike,
I just finished reading your response to someone who asked the same question I just asked you in the previous email. And you really nailed it down for me. I think I was barking up the right tree when I said that I did indeed "sin" (divorce) in ignorance for if I had the "TRUTH" in me then I ... [read more]

Hi Mike,
I am reading Strong Delusion again, and there is this issue on the unpardonable sin which I don't understand.
As I understand from it, the unpardonable sin is committed by babes in Christ. However carnal babes in Christ are not 'once enlightened'. Carnal babes are the called and not chosen.... [read more]

Mike,
Thanks for your response.
When I read this passage, I saw something in it that I had not seen before - obviously there's a clear reference to God's sovereignty but I also got a glimpse of his mercy. Here's what I mean:
Suppose a man says to God, 'I am guilty but will offend no more. Teach me ... [read more]

Hi Mike,
I would just like to ask a question: Why is it that a God who claims to be omnibenevolent and ever- loving can be so manifestly unfair? I'm of mixed Northwest European (Scottish & Irish), African and Indian descent, and, quite frankly, I loathe my physical identity. I mean, I had no say... [read more]

Hi Mike,
I noticed this scripture while reviewing Elihu's comments to Job. It reads somewhat different in other translations, but if the NIV is correct in its expression, it seems to be supporting God's intention to judge all of his creatures with mercy and not according to their sins. This is the w... [read more]

Hi Mike,
Paul's thorn to me wasn't some sort of a moral sin as some believe. Right before he tells us of his abundance of revelations and his thorn that kept him humble, he tells us in 2 Corinthians 11 about the false apostles and all the things he suffered. He states in 2 Corinthians 12:7 the mess... [read more]

Mike,
I am puzzled about the following verses:
Act 19:13 Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the LORD Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.
Act 19:14 And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and ... [read more]

Hello Mike,
How are things? Sorry I haven't kept in touch. My mind has just been a mess and the day- to- day stress I have to continue to realize God is in control. Every day I have been feeling week and tired. I hate the sin and want to stop yet I continue I just wish God could just stop me from s... [read more]

Hi Mike,
Again I must say thank you to you and your wife and family for all the effort you go through to answer our questions.
I was reading one of the e- mails you have responded to and posted on your site, and it contained these verses.
Luk 15:4 What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose... [read more]

Mike,
I am hoping that I can ask something else. I was reading your answer to someone who was having difficulty overcoming the habit of smoking. I pray that this person is now free from this because it is devastating to oneself and family. I, too, have found myself in this same si... [read more]
