Hey Mike, long time no talk. I’ve been studying as the Lord permits and trying to gain insight as He gives me eyes and ears.

Rev 11:2 “But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.“”

Now bear with me, I’m not a teacher, perhaps one day, but as of now still a babe. So I will try and explain what I think God is tugging at me with.

Psa 22:30-31 ”A seed shall serve Him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for A GENERATION. They shall come, and shall DECLARE HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS unto a people that shall be born, that He hath done this.”
1 Pe 2:9 . . . “BUT YE ARE A CHOSEN GENERATION, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. ”
Rev.11:15—-“And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of OUR LORD AND OF HIS CHRIST; and He shall reign forever and ever .”

Now if Jesus is LORD, then His Christ must be;

Psa 2: “Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against His anointed (Christ), saying, Let us break THEIR bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh; the Lord shall have them in derision. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure. Yet have I set my king upon my HOLY HILL OF ZION. I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, THOU ART MY SON: this day have I begotten thee. Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. THOU SHALT BREAK THEM WITH A ROD OF IRON: THOU SHALT DASH THEM IN PIECES LIKE A POTTER’S VESSEL.“

The annointed, the overcomer, the few, the chosen, the body OF CHRIST—- this is the 42nd generationof the geneology of Jesus correct?

So why do I feel a connection with this number 42, and what is said in Revelation? Is there a connection, Mike? For some reason there was always something with that number, and God’s CHRIST that has tugged at me, but I don’t know what. Am I going in the right direction here? Could you help?

What I’m thinking this could mean is that the Gentiles will walk all over God’s Chosen people, Christ’s seed instead of it actually meaning a literal 42 months, or actually meaning a time period.

Now I know I could be wrong, in all probability I am and that is why I come to you asking you for some insight. Perhaps the Lord has granted you an understanding to the number 42 and what it means. If not maybe you could help me research and understand it.
So obviously the Lord has put this number 42 to stand out for me, and I’m here asking you, so I’m sure He is guiding; I just don’t know yet what this means. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you for your question.

I want to point out that six sevens are one seven short of seven sevens. A necessary step to get to the seventh seven which is also a necessary step to 50 the number for jubilee and liberty; the number which represents our coming out of our trials into our spiritual bodies in the full possession of our inheritance and not just as we are now “in earnest of the spirit.” It is also, outwardly symbolic of all mankind coming out of the lake of fire in a purified form.
What is lacking in our understanding and in the understanding of the whole world, is that what so many consider the end, the salvation of our souls, is in reality just the beginning of our service to God and our fellow man:

Rom 11:31 Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.

We have all mistaken milk for meat. In our group in particular we have mistaken universal salvation for the meat of the word when in reality it is just the milk, which should be the beginning of our growth in Christ:

1Pe 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
Heb 5:12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
Heb 5:13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
Heb 5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, [ even] those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

“For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.”
This is referring to most people who believe in universal salvation but don’t even see the thousands of scriptures which teach:

Gal 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Or this verse:

1Co 3:13 Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.

“For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe,” leads these leaders of God’s people to say things like “Hitler is in heaven,” and “you can be a Buddhist or a Hindu and not even believe in Christ, and you are still saved.” Nothing could be further from the Truth. Yes, all mankind is being saved, but not one of them will be saved without first bowing their knees and confessing that Jesus is the Christ.

Rom 14:11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

So universal salvation is nothing more than the “aionian judgment” of Hebrews six:

Heb 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
Heb 6:2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
Heb 6:3 And this will we do, if God permit.

Leaving does not mean denying. But it does mean going beyond. And when we go beyond “eternal judgment we get into dying daily and filling up in our own bodies what is behind of the afflictions of Christ. This is not a marketable spiritual product. But it is the Truth.
The number 42 is still connected with six, to the extent that Christ had not yet filled up what was behind of His afflictions:

Col 1:24 Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body’s sake, which is the church:

So while the forty second generation is too often thought of as the end product of God’s work because it has brought us to the knowledge of Christ, the truth is that the knowledge of Christ is but the beginning of our fiery trials and afflictions in Christ. It is but the beginning of tribulations and when that last seven is consummated then we will come out of our trials and into our jubilee and into the fullness of our possession. The forty second generation is but the “earnest of the spirit.”

Eph 1:11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
Eph 1:12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
Eph 1:14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

I hope this helps you to see what the significance of the forty second generation is, and that you see it more as a the beginning of our fiery trials now in Christ, whereas the forty second generation will be a lake of fire for most.
Thank God that there is a fiftieth year, and that there is a jubilee for all mankind.
