What Loss Do Spirit Beings in the Lake of Fire Suffer
What Loss do Spirit Beings in the Lake of Fire Suffer?
If those in the lake of fire don’t have bodies, then what loss do they have to suffer? And if death and the grave are destroyed there, then would it not make sense for each person who dies in the lake of fire to be “losing their body for the last time” so to speak? At the moment that the last participant in the lake of fire dies, is not death and hell now destroyed? For all have been now judged, all enemies, including the bodies of flesh and death, and God is then all in all? What will be the need to appear in physical bodies if everyone enduring the lake of fire are spirits?
Is the lake of fire not the next step after the 1000 year reign? If so, the judgment would be here on earth would it not? And those who were resurrected in the first resurrection would simply be as Christ, able to come and go, appear and disappear, inclining the hearts and minds of the inhabitants of earth to forsake evil and follow truth in the greatest show of mercy during that age we call the lake of fire?
I understand there is no burning of physical bodies, but my point is, when we suffer loss in these fleshly bodies, we suffer spiritually. We are to overcome the pulls of the flesh whether it be sin, sickness, addiction, false doctrine, etc., etc. The point is, without flesh, what is there to overcome if those in the Lake of Fire are now “immortal”? I need to study more, but I do not think these lake-of-fire goers are immortal, else how could God destroy “body and soul” in the Lake of Fire, where there is no “body and soul” in the Lake of fire to begin with? Will those who undergo the lake of fire have the same “pulls of the flesh” if they are resurrected as spirit bodies?
Thanks in advance for your comments,

Here is the verse that tells us that those bodies in the lake of fire are spiritual bodies:
1Co 15:44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
Just like Satan, however, it is a spiritual body with “terrestrial glory” and with a carnal mind which is “enmity against God”.
Rom 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
It is true that if we are in the flesh we cannot please God.
Rom 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
Rom 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
Rom 8:10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
Just as we can be “in the spirit if the spirit of Christ is in us”, it is equally true that we can be carnally minded and in rebellion against God if the spirit of our father the devil is in us, even as in spirits in the lake of fire.
While it is true that spiritual bodies can and do appear as “flesh and bone” that is only true when there is a need for such. That need will exist during the thousand years, but there will be no need for physical bodies to appear to spiritual bodies in the lake of fire.
I do not believe you will find anywhere that I have ever written that we will have physical bodies in the lake of fire following the thousand year period of ruling with Christ.
I hope this is all of some help in understanding the invisible things of God by the things that are made.
Your brother in Christ,
Mike
