Is, Was and Will Be – The Unknown Character of Christ and His Word

When Will Physical Israel Be Saved?

Hi M____,
If there is any truth to the words of Christ, and you are given the grace to remain faithful to those words, then rest assured that you will be hated of all men, especially all church men:

Mat 10:17  But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues;
Mat 10:18  And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles.
Mat 10:19  But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.
Mat 10:20  For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.
Mat 10:21  And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against [ their] parents, and cause them to be put to death.
Mat 10:22  And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

You ask about Joe 3. Here is what this chapter concerns:

Joe 3:1  For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem,

We are not left to guess about when God will “bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, but your minister will not believe his eyes when he sees when the scriptures say this will happen. It will happen, according to the apostle Paul, “When the fulness of the Gentiles comes in.”

Rom 11:25  For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

So the Gentiles will come in at the same time, and then Israel will be brought to God. Exactly when will that be? There is no need to guess. We are told plainly when that will happen, but what church- going orthodox Christian would dare to believe what the scriptures teach so plainly?

Eze 16:53  When I shall bring again their captivity, the captivity of Sodom and her daughters, and the captivity of Samaria and her daughters, then will I bring again the captivity of thy captives in the midst of them:
Eze 16:54  That thou mayest bear thine own shame, and mayest be confounded in all that thou hast done, in that thou art a comfort unto them.
Eze 16:55  When thy sisters, Sodom and her daughters, shall return to their former estate, and Samaria and her daughters shall return to their former estate, then thou and thy daughters shall return to your former estate.

That almost sounds like even Sodom will be saved.
Your brother in Christ,
