It’s been awhile since I wrote; I continue to appreciate the IWWB site and the teachings there, and receiving the emails that Sandi forwards. I still long to meet you all, and know that I will if it’s in God’s plan for me. Every time a conference is running I’m with you in spirit!
\nI was browsing the internet – I can’t even remember what for now – and came across a link to Arthur Wallis’ book ‘The radical Christian’. As it was available online and I hadn’t read it for many years, I spent some of today dipping into it. He says much that you would agree with I think, but equally some that you wouldn’t. Have you read the book? If not then ignore this; but if you have I would be very interested to know your thoughts about his teachings as he was considered (when alive) a very significant Church leader – at least here in England. His teaching\/ books are still deeply respected by my family (mother, brothers and sisters) even though most of them have drifted away from the radical ideas of church that he expounds in his book, and are back in the orthodox church. Arthur Wallis’ passion seems to have been the restoration of the church. My father’s was end time revival – am I right in thinking that you would say neither are biblically upheld?

\nI found the book challenging, just not perhaps entirely in the way Arthur Wallis intended.

\nNo, I am not familiar with either the name of the teachings of Arthur Wallis, but you are right that I would take exception to either of their teachings as you characterize them.
\nWhat is missing in both is the fact that when Christ said “this generation will not pass away until all these things be fulfilled” is that “this generation”, is not any one particular generation, but the one reading at any particular time.<\/p>\n

Mar 13:14  But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth<\/strong><\/u> understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Rev 1:3  Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy<\/u><\/strong>, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand<\/strong><\/u>.
\n Rev 22:7  Behold, I come quickly<\/u>: blessed is he that keepeth<\/u> the sayings of the prophecy of this book.
\n<\/strong>\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

“The time is at hand… I come quickly,” for any who are “reading and hearing the words of this prophecy” in any generation because we must all “keep the sayings of the prophecy of this book,” and “this book” is to be taken in its “sum, every word is to be lived by” God’s elect in every generation since Christ.<\/p>\n

Mat 4:4  But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every<\/u> word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.<\/strong>\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Mat 24:35  Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not<\/u> pass away.<\/strong>\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Psa 119:160  The sum<\/u><\/strong> of thy word is truth<\/strong>; And every one of thy righteous ordinances endureth for ever.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
